About the event
This class is designed for motivated middle and high school students who are genuinely interested in creating and eager to explore new mediums in a focused studio environment. Structured as a guided open-studio experience, students work independently on their own projects while receiving individualized instruction, feedback, and mentorship from a professional artist.
Emphasis is placed on skill development, creative problem-solving, and the cultivation of a personal artistic voice. Students are encouraged to think and work like practicing artists - experimenting, refining technique, and building confidence in their creative decisions.
This class is ideal for students who are serious about their artistic growth, whether they are preparing for advanced art courses, portfolio development, or considering a future in the arts. A strong work ethic, curiosity, and willingness to engage deeply in the creative process will be supported and encouraged.
We will meet at the studio every Wednesday at 6:15 PM.
